Text Coupons to Drive In-Store Traffic:
Good Spirits Fine Wine & Liquor, a retail convenience store, added a fine wine and gourmet food section. To raise awareness of the new offerings, 2DigitMedia created a text coupon club campaign. Patrons were encouraged to join the club at wine tastings, through magazine ads in local lifestyle publications and through the stores own high-definition electronic display board at their busy street location.
On a weekly basis, club members receive discount coupons on wines, liquors, gourmet foods, even home brewing kits! Customers simply show the text message coupon to the cashier to receive their discounts.
We expanded the campaign by offering per-gallon discounts on gasoline during holiday weeks. The idea was to drive customers in to the retail store to receive their discount, rather than paying at the pump. In the store, customers were greeted by displays for in-store only sale prices on holiday liquors, foods and snack items.
Good Spirits has experienced response rates of 25% to 30% on the campaign, far exceeding most other media forms.
