<p>The mission of the<a href="http://www.ronaldhouse-siouxcity.com/"> Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)</a> of Siouxland, Inc. is to help kids and families heal by providing a “home-away-from-home” for families of children who are receiving medical care in Sioux City IA.</p>
<p>RMHC will use 2DigitMedia latests Text-to-Pledge program to help raise money to support their three core programs: Ronald McDonald House, the RMHC Matching Grant Program and the RMHC Scholarship Program.</p>
<p>How Text-to-Pledge works:</p>

<li>Donor sees or hears &#8220;Text-to-Pledge&#8221; at events or on advertisements or on plea media.</li>
<li>Donor texts keyword (McPledge) to a shortcode</li>
<li>Donor receives automated response message with pledge amounts.

<li>$50</li>
<li>$100</li>
<li>$500</li>
<li>$1000</li>
<li>Other</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Donor responses with amount they would like to pledge.</li>
<li>Donor receives a “Thank You” response message with their pledged amount.</li>
<li>An excel file is generated with Donor cell number and their pledged amount and sent to RMHC.</li>
<li>Volunteers follow-up by contacting Donor for credit card and/or mailing information.</li>
</ul>
<div>Text-to-Pledge lends itself to themed campaigns (like McPledge) and can be used to create a competitive giving environment during live events. Pledges can be for any amount and are not limited. Text-to-Pledge campaigns are used to solicit donations and collect money via traditional channels (e.g. a charge to a credit card, personal check, etc). Donor will receive a phone call later from the charity to fulfill their pledge and arrange for payment, at a cost of only about $.50 per pledge.</div>

<p>Where Text-to-Donate campaigns are currently limited to $5 or $10 per donation. Donation amount are charged to the donor’s wireless bill and can take up to 6-8 weeks to receive donations. Per pledge costs are typically higher, about 35%-45% of all pledges goes to operation overhead.</p>

<p>2DigitMedia’s text reminder system continues to grow in popularity with companies in finance, healthcare and the auto industry. The system sends simple, time-sensitive reminders to clients on their mobile phone. Companies can pick from two formats to find what works best for them. One option allows the system to securely capture and process overnight file transfers of client data to send out large numbers of reminders for appointments, payment notices or a variety of other information reminders. With the other option, users can install a portal on computers to allow an associate to communicate directly via text message one-on-one with clients.</p>
<p>CarHop, Inc. <a href="http://carhop.com">(http://carhop.com/)</a>, a Minnesota-based automobile finance company, currently uses the portal system on more than 50 workstations in its loan collections department. The 2DigitMedia system allows associates to send client payment reminders based on pre-written templates customized for a number of client situations. It saves CarHop money on long distance communications and customers prefer it.</p>

Patients receive a text with the time for their appointment, clinic location and the phone number for the patient to call in the event they need to reschedule. For Lakewood Health Care, it’s a cost saver by giving patients a more convenient way to not forget about an appointment.</p>
